Food solidarities

Food solidarities

In the context of a growing number of crises, preventing the social marginalisation of the most vulnerable seems more crucial than ever. To better address the issues of prevention, dignity and empowering people, it seems necessary to diversify the approaches taken to tackle food insecurity.

The Covid-19 crisis likely heralds the imminence of serious environmental and health crises related to climate change, chemical pollution, biodiversity collapse, and resource depletion. In this context, the challenge of preventing the social marginalization of the most vulnerable has never been more crucial, especially as it is often given little or inadequate attention in sustainability objectives.

The Chair therefore focuses its efforts on these issues of food solidarity in the face of growing precariousness, and on ensuring access to sustainable food for all. It seeks to link socio-economic dimensions with environmental, health, and governance dimensions.

The Chair is accordingly involved in the various projects below.
